How to quit smoking ?

Studies suggest that everyone can quit smoking. Your situation orcondition can give you a special reason to quit.
Quitting takes hard work and a lot of effort, but you can quit smoking.
Quitting smoking is one of the most important things you will ever do.
Some tips to quit smoking.
Destroy All Your Cigarettes.
Stay away from alcohol, sugar and coffee, as these tend to stimulatethe desire for a cigarette.
Avoid fatty foods, as your metabolism willslow down a bit without the nicotine, and you may gain weight evenif you eat the same amount as before quitting.
Have low calorie foods like celery, apple and carrot.Eat slowly and wait a bit between bites.
After dinner, instead of a cigarette, treat yourself to a cup of minttea or a peppermint candy.
The first few days, drink LOTS of water and fluids to help flush outthe nicotine and other poisons from your body.Talk to your health care provider (for example, doctor, dentist, nurse,pharmacist, psychologist, or smoking counselor)Remember that the urge to smoke only lasts a few minutes, andwill then pass.
Medications can help you stop smoking and lessen the urge to smoke.
Go to a gym, sit in the steam, exercise.
Change your normalroutine.
Take time to walk or even jog in thepark.
On your quit day, hide all ashtrays and destroy all your cigarettes,preferably with water, so no part of them is smokeable.
Don't be discouraged if you start smoking again.
